Posted by DC at 22:39Finally got the Perdeby newspaper, and the article looks sweet. A big thanks to Wilhelm and Ryan from Tuks for the spread. (I'm busy resizing it and then you'll all be able to view it in the "Cinema" section)
I did a short run, checking out the Tuks grounds. What a neat environment!!! It HAS to be our next venue. (I'm still talking with the relevant authorities to get it underway there) I happen to bump into a few people who of the students who asked the inevitable question "What are you doing?" hehe. If only they knew beforehand... ;-)
Posted by DC at 22:37The second official jam took place at Union Buildings. A fantastic atmosphere and some great moves were pulled out the sleeve. Check out the "Events" section for the write-up and more info.
Urban Crag were represented there by one of their crew members. We look forward to seeing more of them in the future.
A special thanks goes out to: Kimberly, Neil, Estelle, Jason, Elmarie, Vivienne, Ray and Dion
Posted by DC at 21:48The 15th of May 2004 saw South Africa host it's very first Parkour event right in the heart of Pretoria, Gauteng. Although the turn-out never reached the expected numbers, it must be said that most of South Africa was glued either to their Television sets or their Radios. Waiting for the outcome of the 2010 Soccer World Cup Bid. (which, incase you've been buried in a tunnel along with Osama Bin Laden somewhere in the Middle-East and did not hear, South Africa won the Bid!!!!)
I would like to extend a special thanks to the representatives from the University of Pretoria's Student Newspaper "Perdeby" who made a visit. Ryan & Wilhelm, thanks again. I look forward to working with you again soon.
