Introductions

We know there are girls (young and old) training in South Africa at the moment, so this forum is intended for all to meet up with others in your area to discuss all sorts. Such as the differences when training together versus training with just the guys, what movements are good to start off with, anything else you've noticed recently when out training, general questions, etc. (Guys, for the most part please keep out of this forum. Girls only.)

Introductions

First off it would be great to know who you are and what got you interested in parkour, etc. So drop your name (doesn't have to be your real one), where you from and how long you've been training.

It's always great to know us girls are appreciated - after all, anything boys can do, girls can do in high heels! :D (But maybe not parkour?!)

I've always suspected that girls approach parkour very differently, if only because our strengths lie in different areas - not for us the enormous jumps or rolls or cat leaps (I have NO upper body strength), but rather a focus on technique and balance. Anyone else feel this way?

Hi
Im new to parkour also but i find the focus on conditioning isnt as big as it is with the guys. maybe if we intensified our training we could get to doing the various vaults etc quicker??

At the moment we only have like.. 1 Female member. YOU. LOL

Hopefully more will follow. At first you might feel a bit intimidated, but don't let that worry you. ;)

See you on Saturday.
