Clothing (duh, this is a girls forum ;-)

We know there are girls (young and old) training in South Africa at the moment, so this forum is intended for all to meet up with others in your area to discuss all sorts. Such as the differences when training together versus training with just the guys, what movements are good to start off with, anything else you've noticed recently when out training, general questions, etc. (Guys, for the most part please keep out of this forum. Girls only.)

What sort of bra due you use? I'm using a sports-bra from Nike. I first practised rolling with a normal underwire bra - ouch the metal digging into your back is not fun.

Ooon another note...
a while back I was shopping for a pair of tracksuit pants. I found the perfect pair: right material, fit and movement. Sold!
However, when I got home and was wearing them, I had to go to the bathroom and for the first time noticed - that right in the center of the crouch, where you can't see unless sitting cross-legged on the ground - where two metal-eyelits, like the ones you find on a baseball cap. Needless to say, they were returned. According to the salesperson they were men's tracksuit pants - thermo-regulation perphaps?

Hi, Katcar

(Health warning to any boys reading this: look away now!)

On the subject of sportsbras: I agree, metal digging in uncomfortable places are a no-no! My favourite pairs are my running bras - they fit nice and snugly (although they do at times make me look like I suffer from uniboob!), and protects against unwanted bounces. They're also made from special material that absorbs sweat and keeps my body temperature stable. I prefer the kind that has an X across the back, allowing my shoulder blades to move freely. One pair is made entirely of stretchy fabric, so no clasps to roll on either! Try a good sport shop - you can skimp on other attire, but a good bra is an investment.

lol @ your predicament with the tracksuit bottoms! My worst bugbear is that my g-string is forever sticking out when I bend, so hipsters just don't work! Or perhaps I should go "commando" - whaddayathink?! :-P

Ha ha - commando would be very interesting  Just don't let your pants get hooked on anything... I find thongs quite comfortable though.

I wonder if you get a comfortable bra that doesn't make you uni-boob but prevents uncomfortable bouncing. Sometimes I just feel like practicing a precision, but it's not too fun if everything moves as it wishes (Do guys get these sort of problems?)

The best sportsbras are the triumph tri action range...i run with them and you don't get a uniboob...as the cups are formed.

Oh and mr price sport has some nice thongs and boy shorts that are very comfortable and gets rid of sweat fast and effectively...and they are cheap and come in a range of colours.

Thanks for the tip, Vlooi, will check out the Triumphs. I never wear shorts (have some scarring on my legs from an old accident, plus it's TOO BLOODY COLD in England! :-) ), so I prefer cargo pants - lightweight and easy to move in. Nothing too tight!

I noticed those Triumph come in 3 flavours of exercise intensity. Which do you reccomend for PK: mild, medium or hot?

hey ladies i know this isn't really the place for a guy to say anything on this subject yet while surfing the net on sports shoes on the Kalenji brand i saw this interesting new sports bra that you guys might be interested in. although i think you might have to order it from overseas but it looks as though it'll give you your optimum support while insuring you don't get a uniboob.

check it out its called the Sportance 1000

Check this website one out. It was recommended by Oprah and is available from a lady in Centurion who imports the bra's. It is R600 for one but so worth it.

I want to know that from where i can buy active wear or outfits? I usually buy from online stores. Any one can suggest the best shopping store.
