Girls Only Training (Sat 14th March Wits, JHB)

We know there are girls (young and old) training in South Africa at the moment, so this forum is intended for all to meet up with others in your area to discuss all sorts. Such as the differences when training together versus training with just the guys, what movements are good to start off with, anything else you've noticed recently when out training, general questions, etc. (Guys, for the most part please keep out of this forum. Girls only.)

Girls Only Training (Sat 14th March Wits, JHB)

Right, so this has been a big hit in the UK already and probably not a bad time to get the first one under way in SA seeing as there are a number of girls already training.

Girls Sessions are not to be the ONLY time all you girls should be out training, it merely provides a more relaxed training environment where you can talk about best nail colours that don't clash with the urban surroundings and best outfits etc, etc etc. :P. Just kidding, but on a more serious note, it can be quite beneficial.

The only guys there will be some of the PKSA coaches to help supervise and guide the session, apart from that it's STRICTLY GIRLS ONLY! Not even partners please.

Location will be Wits Uni, Red Brick across from the Planetarium. Same place most of the other 9am Saturday sessions take place.

Time is 9am warm up for 9:30 start, with a 11:30 warm down and 12pm finish.

Now for dates... I'm looking at beginning March but first I need to know if a saturday or sunday suites most of you better. If Saturday, then I will pick one when the main training event is at Sandton Park and we can use Wits on our own. If Sunday then we pretty much have quite a selection at hand. So best bet would be to find out if any dates in March do NOT suite you.

I'll set the event up officially by the end of next week, provided I have enough input regarding dates.

guys please. if we can't keep just this single forum clear of male dominated regular banter, then I'm going to need to lock this thread and only provide access codes in person to the girls.

There are pages and pages to offload and chit chat elsewhere, which I have no issue with. It's just this single thread which needs a bit of room.

Hope you guys don't mind. I know the girls do.

Thanks for understanding. 8)

If Red displays the required plumbing (or lack of it), then he's welcome to join the Girls Only jam. We will insist on ALL checking, though.

I can't speak for the other girls, but I'd prefer to train on a Saturday - that way it doesn't eat into my (equally important) weekend retail therapy sessions.

And I'll have a word with DC about his ideas that all we talk about is nail colour ..... I bet we could probably show the instructors how anything boys can do, girls can do in high heels??? Who's in?? :D

the g.o. training session on Satuday 14th was AWESOME ... even I managed to keep up after several years of slothdom in the stix. it's heartening to see the girl numbers growing - back in the day (when Parkour in SA was still in nappies) Angelina and I were outnumbered ... keep it up ladies, I'll join you next time I'm in Jozi, wearing my Parkour Afrika girls' t-shirt
