Whilst this area is rather lacking in locations, some awkward ones are present. Personally I use the crocodile river, above the Walter Sisulu botanical gardens, in the placement of its rocks and boulders. The rocks are inerestingly and challengingly placed. Additionally the foulness of the water adds insentive not to fall. Some areas are a bit dangerous, however only for short streaches. However one cannot train here often due to inconsistancy in the water levels.

There is also a park located relatively close.

Other than that I have nothing.

I suppose... Its just that this area is so lacking when it comes to decent structures. Shopping centers are quite stingy when it comes to PK -got a six month ban once- and their structures arn't long enough, you know. Like at north gate theres a few decent rails by the ice rink, but they only go on for about four meters and thats it.

Mind you, I think this issue is partly due to my inexperience in recognising any good areas. For instance I was in CT for December and took the time to check out the tiger valley water front. I saw one or two good sections for runs, but did not realise the use of structures that are in the photos of the area, which I saw later.

The kreature paintball center, near northgate, is actually quite good though. Went paintballing there at the beginning of the year, and I could equate the experience to the brink trailer, just with less dying and sliding. Quite painful.

I'm sure its possible to rent the place just for parkour though.

dude northgate is probably one of the sickest training grounds. look beyond the rails. look at the walls, ledges lampposts etc.

I just took a look at the park that I mentioned earlier, and apart from having objects relatively far apart and the dangerous litter it's kinda okay. One couldn't do much worse but I suppose it will work for new guys.

So if you want to go there, leo, I'm sure it would be okay. It's just next to Robert Broom.

To extrapolate on the subject of dangerous litter: The park is mostly used by people that want to get drunk. So they bring a whole assortment of glass objects that are thoroughly and thoughtlessly discarded, and most of them are broken. Therefore before anyone even thinks of running scan all potential landing zones in a 360 radius for five meters. I myself didn't do this today, I only looked at my direct path, and mounted and object about thirty degrees off target. This ment I nearly dismounted onto a fat bit of glass, which I was fortunately able to avoid.

the park is only like 42 km from Krugersdorp driving main roads prob about 25 km if you cut through the residential area
maybe you should try and find someone who stays half way ?
